The challenge
Go'o Water built its reputation on a consistency of production recognised in its market. That industrial discipline, however, was not matched in the financial management of the company.
Cash was tracked manually, between Orange Money and the bank, with no consolidated view of payables against actual funds available. Bank and mobile money statements were read and reconciled by hand, with recurring gaps between what had been recorded and what the statements showed. Customer receivables were not tracked in one place. Internal control procedures (stock management, payment and reimbursement flows, mixed Orange Money and cash payment) were not formalised, including the daily review of raw material and finished goods stock carried out by the storekeeper. Fixed assets carried accounting errors, and the balance sheet showed an inconsistency that had gone unidentified.
The founder was already using artificial intelligence in his management, but was aware that he was tapping no more than 20 % of its potential. With the bottle launch planned for November 2026, the window to structure the system before the ramp up was short.
The solution
GJO & Partners worked on eight fronts.
01
Cash management
Cash is now steered on a cloud connected dashboard built with Claude AI. The file updates directly in the cloud with the figures sent by the accounting assistant, giving the founder real time visibility wherever he is. This ends the manual tracking scattered between Orange Money and the bank, and the payables reconstructed by hand. Setting up the tracking led the founder to discover a significant amount held at the bank that he did not know he had.
02
Automated reading of statements
The reading of bank and mobile money statements, previously manual and a source of discrepancies, is now performed automatically from the statements themselves, with triangulation of flows as a consistency check.
03
Customer receivables tracking
An interactive Excel file now centralises the tracking of customer receivables, replacing a process that had been scattered and unstructured.
04
Internal control procedures
Formalisation of procedures that were previously absent: stock management, payment and reimbursement flows, mixed Orange Money and cash payment. This work brought to light the role of the storekeeper, responsible for the daily review and control of raw material and finished goods stock, until then loosely structured, and helped the founder understand how to use that function day to day.
05
Accounting reliability
Correction of the erroneous fixed assets and of the inconsistency identified in the balance sheet. A profit and loss account structured according to the chart of accounts was put in place, along with a mapping of possible errors to prevent them from recurring.
06
Dashboard and virtual adviser
A dynamic dashboard, fully configurable by the founder (unlike ERP systems with a fixed structure), gives an overall view of the business, backed by a virtual adviser module.
07
Reports and analysis
Reports carrying recommendations, and analysis of the business, are now produced with Claude from the system's own data. The founder obtains them when he needs them, on the scope he chooses, and their relevance improves as the identified gaps are corrected.
08
Fundraising documents
The documents requested during a fundraising are produced with Claude from that same system, rather than being reconstructed each time they are asked for.

Cash
A significant amount held at the bank, until then unidentified by the founder, was brought to light when the cash dashboard was set up.
Time
Manual entry of statements and reconciliation between Orange Money and the bank, previously done task by task at each due date, has been removed.
Transfer of skills
The founder and his administrative team now use the cash dashboard, the receivables tracking file, the dashboard and the virtual adviser on their own.
The initial problems
Unconsolidated cash: solved. Statement reconciliation gaps: solved. Absent internal control procedures: solved. Accounting errors on fixed assets and balance sheet: solved.
Why GJO & Partners
« This is excellent. »
The founder was convinced that his management could rely further on artificial intelligence, without having found until then the right partner to implement it. Where a competitor would have stopped after an hour or two of discussion, confidence in the ability of GJO & Partners to carry the implementation through to the end made the difference.
